The top scorers in Europe today

Last update 17 November, 2013 by Alberto Llopis

Exceeded the first third of national competitions in Europe, the top scorers sharpen their aim from each to the Christmas period. The Christians, Rossi, Montero, Lewandowski or Finnbogason lead solo in their respective championships, others like Luis Suarez or Cavani will have a more even fight between now and the end of the season.

In the league (Spain):

Los 16 goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi's injury for two months mean that only Diego Costa has any chance of winning the "Pichichi trophy" this season. Players such as Antoine Griezmann are surprised, whose good season is attracting the attention of many European clubs, like Juve or PSG. Players like Rodri and Javi Guerra surprise on this list, the first for his youth and the second for his seniority.

Luis Suarez, Sergio Agüero and Daniel Sturridge top the Premier's top scorers table with eight goals each, but the Uruguayan has played almost half. Great start for Remy and Lukaku, but even if it is possible to praise above all to Yaya Toure and Ramsey, both midfielders and who are with five and six targets respectively. Giroud has deflated after his great start to the championship.

Scotland: Billy McKay (Inverness Caledonian Thistle) 9 goals.

Ukraine: Marko Devic (Metalist Kharkiv) 13 goals.

Belgium: Ivan Santini (Kortrijk) y Hamdi Harbaoui (Lokeren) con 11 goals each.

Greece: Kostantinos Mitroglou (Olympiakos) 14 goals.

Romania: S. Szekely (Poli Timisoara) 9 goals.

There is a long season left but the best scorers on the planet are already appearing in Europe. Cristiano Ronaldo is the top European scorer, while the player “red” Luis Suarez has the best average. Both the Portuguese and the Uruguayan are the top contenders for the European golden boot, but we will have to be careful, especially to players like Finnbogason, Rossi, Cavani or Lewandowski. The goal war has done nothing but begin.
