Menezes sacked as Brazil coach

Brazil coach, Mano Menezes, has been removed from his post as Brazilian coach, a year and a half of the World Cup 2014, to be held precisely in the South American country according to local media.

The dismissal of Menezes was approved at a meeting of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). Menezes was the target of harsh criticism for the national team's play, despite the run of good results in recent months.

The coach took office in August 2010 after the World Cup in South Africa and, during this time, he has only managed Brazil in friendlies and at the London Olympics, competition in which he lost the final against Mexico.
