¿Quiénes son los jugadores con más de 1000 partidos? Rogério Ceni es un hombre récord por excelencia. Suyo es el registro de 112 goles lo que le convierte en el portero más goleador de la historia. Ceni jugó 1272 partidos lo que le convierte en el tercer jugador con más partidos oficiales jugados por detrás de otros 2 porteros. Los ingleses Shilton (1401) y Bastock (1284).
Un caso realmente llamativo y sobresaliente habida cuenta de que la FIFA tan sólo reconoce a unos pocos futbolistas por encima de la barrera de los 1000 encuentros oficiales. Una lista encabezada por Peter Shilton y repleta de porteros y jugadores británicos que viene a señalar una cosa: los porteros son los más longevos y en las Islas Británicas la carrera se aguanta más. Messi que sigue en activo, entró en la lista de los 1000 partidos oficiales ante Australia en Qatar 2022.
