Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been banned for ten matches for biting an arm Serbian defender Branislav Ivanovic Chelsea.
“FA insufficient considering the suspension of three games with sanctioning such actions, As it has imposed an additional penalty of seven games. The suspension takes effect immediately and the player has until Friday to 12 hours to present arguments for these seven extra games”, Regulatory Commission said the English Football Association.
The incident occurred last Sunday, when the minute 74 del Liverpool-Chelsea, Suarez sank her teeth into the arm of defender, an action that did not observe the referee of the match and the FA arbitrate retrospectively.
Suarez has been on several occasions at the center of controversy in the UK in recent times: last season already received eight-match ban for racist abuse directed at Manchester United footballer Patrice Evra.
