Sevilla announced this Monday the transfer of international Jesús Navas to Manchester City in England, that will pay about 20 millions of euros, what could become 26 based on variables by objectives. The club chaired by José María del Nido has accepted the offer of the English team, given “the player's will”. Now, Navas will have to pass the medical examination with his new team.
Navas, of 27 years, world and European champion with Spain, will sign a contract for five seasons with the English club, to which he leaves after ten seasons in the first team of Sevilla, with which he has won two King's Cups, two UEFA Cup, a European Super Cup and a Spanish Super Cup. Jesús Navas leaves the Sevilla club with 393 official appearances, the sixth player who has played the most games with the club's jersey after Busto, Campanal, Jimenez, Juan Arza and Pablo Blanco, although with a record much higher than that of all those mentioned.
It's a statement, the Andalusian club has rated Navas as “unique and unrepeatable idol” and has placed at the end of the Confederations Cup, that the player will play with Spain, to “live the official farewell to the essential vertex of Seville's most champion in history”.
