It's the sad news of the day. Through a statement, Compostela announced Friday the death of José González Fidalgo, club manager at the time of the Galician club in the First Division where militated between 1994 y 1998. A man who sadly became famous for being attacked by Jesús Gil at the gates of the LFP in a meeting of the entity that directs Spanish football in 1996. In memory of José González Fidalgo, Compostela has announced that it will observe a minute of silence in San Lázaro.

Sadly, the deceased Gonzalez Fidalgo rose to fame after being attacked by Jesus Gil at the gates of the Professional Soccer League. The then manager of Compostela, came out in defense of José María Caneda, then president of the club and ended up involved with a Jesus Gil that he soon lost his papers and that that day, starred in one of the saddest days that are remembered in Spanish professional football.
