Five stories and anecdotes of the European Day
The defeats of Atlético de Madrid and Barcelona were the highlight of a weekend that left us with a good binge of goals in many countries and exciting matches in England.. As always in Hanging for Football, we do not miss the appointment of the best of the week that is leaving us:
1- Real Madrid, solo leader after 68 days without doing it. Barcelona fell with a crash against Real Sociedad for 3-1 And even more so did Atlético de Madrid in the field of Osasuna. The result was that Real Madrid is the new leader of the competition after winning 3-0 to Elche, with a goal from Bale and last absence from Ronaldo. El Athletic ganó 0-2 to a Betis who played more than half an hour with 9 and Valencia won 2-1 to Granada in the highlights of Sunday.
2- Chelsea, on the edge. The Premier gave us great games this weekend. Liverpool won 4-3 Swansea with doublets from Henderson and Sturridge. Arsenal also scored four (4-1) al Sunderland. Fairer was City's victory against Stoke City for 1-0 and Chelsea, who maintained his lead with a goal in the minute 92 of Lampard that served to bring down Everton. The blues lead the Premier with a point over Arsenal, but up to fourth place, El Liverpool, there are only four margin points.
3- Juventus, add and go. A goal from Carlos Tevez was enough to decide the Torino derby that allows the Juventians to continue with a nine-point advantage over Roma. The romans won 0-1 to Bologna. 1-0 Milan also won against Brescia and worse was his eternal rival, Inter who crashed again at home against Cagliari (1-1).
4-El Bavaria, ¿para cuando? Two goals from Müller and another from Thiago guided the 0-4 against Hannover in a new recital by Guardiola's men who excel in 19 points to Leverkusen in the absence of 12 journeys. And it is that the Leverkusen lost 3-0 against Wolsfburg, result that however, allows him to keep second place due to the stumble of Dortmund (3-0) against Hamburg, that despite everything is still in relegation promotion positions.
5- We finish with France and with a new exhibition by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who scored a new hat trick in PSG's win for 2-4 before the Tolouse. Parisians still five points ahead of Monaco, who won the Stade de Reims.
