Five stories and anecdotes that leaves us the European Day

Last update 16 March, 2014 by Julio Muñoz

The main European leagues are reaching their final stretch and in many countries the fish seems to be sold. In others instead, things are not only not clear but increasingly seem more equal. As usual, in Hanged by Football, we review it in our weekly summary:

1- The real Madrid, leader another day. Ancelotti's team retains its leadership by winning without excessive brilliance against Malaga with a lone goal from Cristiano Ronaldo. Victory that allows him to continue with a three point advantage over Atlético who won 1-0 al Espanyol (Diego Costa's goal) and four on Barcelona, who thrashed by 7-0 Osasuna with a Messi hat-trick that serves to position him as the top scorer in the history of Barça. El Sevilla ganó 4-1 to Valladolid and Betis tied 0 at home in Elche staying in last place.

2- The First, very messy. In England everything is to be decided. Chelsea, líder, perdió 1-0 against Aston Villa and with one more game advantage in just four points to Arsenal and Liverpool. The Gunners beat Tottenham in the North London Derby with a goal from Rosicky. The reds prevailed 0-3 to Manchester United with a double by Gerrard. City's victory is remarkable 0-2 against Hull City that serves to get six points from Mourinho but with three fewer games.

3- El Bavaria, next champion. In Germany, Bayern counts the days it takes to be champion. Su victoria 2-1 against Leverkusen and the defeat of Dortmund against Moenchengladsbach allows him to already have an income of 23 points on Borussia with nine days to go, which could allow him to be champion in just two weeks.

4- In France, easy victory for PSG that leads Monaco by eight points 2-3 on the always difficult field of Olympique de Lyon. The two wealthy of French football outnumber the third in many points, el Lille, that could not go from the tie to 0 against Nantes.

5- We ended up in Greece, where Michel's Olympiakos has won the league again, adding his fourth consecutive wound. Title that could be rounded off next Wednesday if he finally manages to eliminate United from the Champions League and access the quarterfinals of the maximum continental competition.

Olympiakos ganó la liga griega con mucha solvencia.
