Atlético de Madrid will face Real Madrid next 18 May in the final of the Copa del Rey after the colchoneros and sevillistas have tied at two in a locked match and with many interruptions due to the great momentum shown by the players. With this tie, Atlético makes good the two to one achieved in the Calderón.
The first half was even in possession, but the effectiveness of the rojiblancos forwards made the difference on the scoreboard. The first to score was Diego Costa, who enjoys an exceptional moment of form. The Brazilian scored the first goal of the game in the minute 8 with a good shot from outside the area.
The second goal, of course, was from Radamel Falcao, that culminated a great counterattack led by Diego Costa. The Brazilian ran the band like a gazelle, received the leather and rush almost to the end where he put a precise pass for Falcao to finish off at the first touch and introduce the leather into the nets defended by Beto.
When the game was going to reach the end of the first half, Navas appeared to score a real goal, who encouraged the game in the second half.
Second part
The second half was a complete siege of Sevilla, with some cons with a lot of danger from Atlético. Despite this, no team managed to score. And the minute 80, Medel saw the red card for provoking, rebuke and maybe hit Diego Costa, all this in front of the referee. From this incident, the game became a contest of blows and interruptions that only benefited Atlético de Madrid. A pesar de ello, Rakitic scored the last goal in discount, leaving the scoreboard with two by two.
