Porto tomb to a PSG that fails to boot
A goal by the Colombian James Rodríguez was enough for Porto to knock down the almighty French PSG of the Swedish Zlatan Ibrahimovic today and put the Portuguese, group A leaders, very close to the round of 16 of the Champions League.
Rodríguez, awarded the victory to the Portuguese in the minute 82 after his team missed several clear chances against Italian goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu. Asi, Porto adds six points, against the three from PSG and Dynamo kyiv, who won their match against Dinamo Zagreb (2-0).
Ibrahimovic had PSG's best chances in the first half. First a header deflected to a pass from the Brazilian Nené and then a backheel that forced the Portuguese goalkeeper into a tremendous stretch, a genius that was close to becoming one of the best goals of the current Champions League.
on the local side, the Portuguese team overwhelmed PSG in the first half hour. Porto won the ball and was crushed down the right wing, that today occupied the Dutchman Van der Wiel. Between the Portuguese Silvestre Varela and the Colombians Jackson Martínez and James Rodríguez they were in charge of showing PSG that today they were going to suffer hell in Do Dragao. Theirs were the best chances, that presaged that the goal was chewed on the goal defended by Sirigu.
Porto's start in the second half was reminiscent of the first. The successive occasions were arriving for the Portuguese. James finished close to the goal before Varela missed a great opportunity.
Moutinho, continued to move the game at will and Porto continued to hover around the goal of the multimillionaire French team, overflowing with quality and speed to its weak defense.
Ancelotti then decided to remove the Argentine Lavezzi, one of the star signings who had to retire after ten minutes due to his physical discomfort. His compatriot Pastore replaced him.
In front, the young Ghanaian Atsu entered the premises to replace the unlucky Varela. On his first break, overflowed on the left and caused Sirigu to intervene. In a diagonal that included a car pass, Atsu himself launched a whiplash that was stopped again by the Italian goalkeeper. And on James's fourth chance he was lucky. Moutinho crossed from the left, Fernando combed the ball and the young Colombian hit a subtle shot with his left foot that slipped through the right post of Sirigu.
Definitely, victory of a Porto that will play the first position of the group in Paris against a PSG full of stars but that does not finish convincing or starting.
