Pellegrini confirmed to be Malaga, while UEFA will void the sanction to the club

Manuel Pellegrini, Malaga coach has confirmed in public that he leaves Málaga. It was an open secret and Pellegrini had already left unequivocal messages. However, It is the first time in which he publicly confirms it with that forcefulness: “Professionally, I am living my last hours in Malaga. On Sunday I will coach my last game as coach of Málaga at La Rosaleda”.

“It's going to be a very strong emotion and we hope to leave the club classified for Europe., with the mission accomplished and with the misfortune that the project changed. The agreement with the club has been gratifying and satisfactory. Everyone has the right to follow their path. I am not going in search of economic ambitions but rather a sporting project that allows me to feel fulfilled.”.

UEFA removes the sanction

On the other hand, the European Union Football Association (UEFA) has annulled the suspension that weighed on Málaga due to the financial problems and non-payments that the team was experiencing, upon verifying compliance “of all conditions” that he had imposed.
“The investigative body confirms that Málaga CF, el HNK Hajduk Split (Croatia), King (Croatia), he FC Dinamo Bucharest (Romania), FK Partizan (Serbia) y el FK Vojvodina (Serbia) have complied with all the conditions imposed by the UEFA Financial Control Committee, and therefore, None of the sanctions that had been imposed will be applied”, reads the statement sent by the governing body of European football.
According to UEFA sources, The annulment of the sanction against Málaga will come into force within two years, in the season 2014-2015. The Malaga team is still awaiting the decision of the Superior Court of Sports Arbitration (IT) to find out if he can play European competition next season.

With this resolution, Málaga would be at the expense of the resolution, whose hearing will be held the next day 4 June, to be able to certify their presence in European competition -Europa League- next season, as long as you are able to stamp your ticket in the next two days. At present, Pellegrini's team is sixth in the Liga BBVA standings.
