The AFE presents the selection of unemployed Spanish soccer. La AFE (spanish footballers association) has its own Spanish team. Far from the glamor of the millionaire stars of the Del Bosque team, these soccer workers look for a new opportunity, for some the last, to be able to continue exercising the profession of your dreams.
The crisis has ceased with all of society. The differences between classes have widened and this has also happened in football. While the big media stars get more and more millionaire and substantial contracts, the most modest profile players, from lower categories have more and more difficult to continue living from football. Most teams that are active in these categories do not even know if they can continue to exist in the coming seasons..
To help the most modest players the AFE was born, that with the arrival of Luis Manuel Rubiales and his team made a leap in quality and a radical change. Rubiales was a modest player in profile, with little quality but a lot of heart that came to play in the First Division with Levante. The apodabans “Pundonor” for the courage he put into every action.
He himself knows the troubles of football in first person. He lived unpaid in the Xerez, Levante and Alicante, in addition to being seriously injured. Thanks to his initiative, the AFE sessions and the AFE-Spain team were born.
Last year, 17 Players found professional accommodation inside and outside Spain thanks to these sessions and the FIFPRO international tournament for players without a team played last summer in the Netherlands. This season they repeat experience. More than one team should be vigilant. Surely by the desire and enthusiasm of the players it will not be.
