Valerón returns to Las Palmas Sixteen years later

Last update 7 October, 2013 by Alberto Llopis

Juan Carlos Valerón returns to Las Palmas after sixteen years. Talent, quality, imagination, vision of the game are some of the attributes that could define the game of Juan Carlos Valerón. The talented Canarian player left his home in 1997 to play for Mallorca, when I was twenty-two years old and since then it has rained a lot.

Since then he went through Mallorca, Atlético de Madrid and Deportivo de la Coruña, club where he has stayed for the last thirteen seasons. A Coruña became his second home and there with the Deportivo jacket he has lived every possible moment in the world of football, good's and bad's.

In his thirteen seasons at Deportivo he was present at the epic European nights, where many of the brilliant actions were born from his boots, the conquest of titles such as the Copa del Rey of the famous centennial of the 2002 and the rise of the season 2011/12.

But he has also experienced the hardest part with the two descents in a row. The latter has been able to with him. Con 38 years ago he decides to return home and does so convinced that he still has a lot of football left in his boots. His detractors say that he has very little blood, the truth is that it gives the impression of it, but his magic is indisputable.
