Levante signs Austrian Beckham. This is what they call Andreas Ivanschitz, Levante UD's new player. The player born on 15 October 1983 has reached an agreement in principle with the Granota club that, in the absence of medical recognition, will be for three seasons.
The agreement has been made official by the club itself with a statement on its website. The player is an icon in his country and is a very popular player, which is why he has been compared to David Beckham., for that and for his excellent ball striking. The Austrian arrives free from Mainz 05 of the German Bundesliga and is an absolute international with his national team.
The signing of the Austrian player is the second for Levante that has initiated a profound change in its squad. The first was Jordi Xumetra, Elche player and one of the best players in the Second Division this season. The player himself and the club's website confirmed the signing this past week, after some unfortunate statements from an Elche counselor.

Joaquin Caparros is in the offing
The coach from Utrera was the protagonist this weekend at a congress in Malaga where he was directly presented as the coach of Levante UD.
There is speculation that Caparrós will arrive in Valencia on Monday to close his contract with the Granota club and take charge of the club to prepare for the future season.. Caparrós would arrive for two years and it would be a change in profile with respect to the type of coach in recent seasons where he had opted for a less proven coach profile..
