Galatasaray have officially announced the signing of forward Didier Drogba as reported by the Turkish club through its website. The Ivorian striker who is in full Africa Cup competition and will join the discipline of his new club once the competition ends and with a view to the Champions League match that will face Schalke 04.
The former Chelsea player from the Chinese Shanghai Shenshua will join the other star signing of the Ottoman club, Dutch Wesley Sneijder in a team with a lot of potential, in what is an ambitious project by the Turks.
The Ivorian forward Didier Drogba assured on his website that he faces “a very exciting challenge” the best Galatasaray, after making official the Turkish club his hiring for a season and a half.
“It is a very exciting challenge that awaits me in Istanbul. I can't wait to discover this historic club and its fans, known for their incredible support. This is the beginning of a new adventure for me”, he added.
After closing a six-season cycle at Chelsea by winning the Champions League, This season Drogba played for the Chinese team Shanghai Shenhua until he decided to return to elite football again by signing for Galatasaray.
