Colombian James Rodríguez and Portuguese international Joao Moutinho were hired by Monaco in exchange for 45 y 25 millions of euros, respectively, as announced by Porto to the Portuguese market regulator. both players, represented by agent Jorge Mendes, signed for a total of five seasons.
The club of the team of the Monegasque Principality disbursed the full value of the clause of the Colombian winger, fixed in 45 millions. James, of 21 years, has played three seasons at Porto, where he has won three championships and one Europa League, among other trophies, and stood out for his offensive talent. Moutinho was hired by Porto three years ago from Sporting Lisbon in exchange for some 11 millones euros. Due to a clause set in that transfer, Sporting will have the right to 25 % of the capital gain obtained from the transfer to AS Monaco, estimated at a total of 14 millions. The middle Moutinho, of 26 years, is considered one of the best players in Portugal for his ability to steal and distribute.
