Ceni played 1272 parties which makes him the third player with the most official matches played behind others 2 goalkeepers. The English Shilton (1401) y Bastock (1284).
A really striking and outstanding case considering that FIFA only recognizes a few players above the barrier 1000 official meetings. Peter Shilton led a full and porters and British players list next to point out one thing: goalkeepers are the most long-lived and in the British Isles the race holds more. Messi which is still active, entered the list of 1000 official matches against Australia in Qatar 2022.
