El Manchester City crea su franquicia en Estados Unidos al llegar a un acuerdo con los New York Yankees para crear el New York City. From 2015 New York will have two teams in MLS. New York City will be the team number 20 and it will be the franchise of the English in the US.
Manchester City will be the majority shareholder of the new franchise, Although the New York Yankees will have their part too. “We welcome the creation of something so special for football lovers in our city”, Hal Steinbrenner noted in this regard, Yankees owner.
