As we already told you last year in our article about Xerez Deportivo FC, this newborn team, came to the fore last season when founded by fans of the old Xerez CD SAD, who played in the First Division in the season 2009/10 and outraged by the situation of this, they decided to found it. The proposal was accepted and in the middle of the Second Regional, they managed to put nothing more and nothing less than almost 6000 partners. The impact was such that they were placed, being in Second Andalusian Regional, between the 35 clubs with more members in Spain. The merit without a doubt, huge.
Meanwhile, the other Xerez, I was dying a couple of categories above, for Third Division three years after having been in First, a group of members tired by mismanagement and the loss of identity that had led the club to the limit of disappearance, They started a project that, based on hope and work, seems to be moving forward. At the moment, in its first season, managed to get promoted a few months before the end of the season and practically, beating all his rivals. They only lost one game.
A team trained by a technician who had directed the other Xerez at a professional level such as Carlos Orue or mythical ex-such as Dani Pendín or Romerito. This way, success was assured. They even broke the attendance record in a match (we remember that we are talking about regional category) of 8200 spectators before the Guadiro team whose players, they are quite far from the profile of the professional footballer.
The Chapín stadium, came to host more people in that game than many Second Division teams and practically all Second B teams (Except for teams like Oviedo or Racing that was in Second B last year) and all of Third, categories well above regional. Besides all this, el Xerez Deportivo FC, has been involved in different causes and associations in the city of Jerez and participating in events such as campaigns in schools to teach sports values, donation of blood and even to participate in the parade of Kings of the city among other events.
Will we see them in the not too distant future at least in professional football?. As always, time will tell but what is clear is that if they continue with the same support, it will possibly be so. For now you can follow its evolutions in http://www.xerezdeportivofc.com/
