El COTIF, the best youth tournament in the world

COTIF is the best youth tournament in the world. En 1983, a team from a village in the province of Valencia called C.E Alcudia was invited to the French town of Bollene to play a friendly international tournament where competing sets of various nationalities.

What was a simple participation in a tournament minnows would become over time in the embryo which is possibly today one of the best youth tournaments in the world: Sub International Football Tournament 20 of Alcudia, also known as the Cotif.

And that step by France served to players and team officials will pose the village hall the beginning of a sub quote 20 every summer from 1984 with which to showcase to the world's young hopefuls and pass that promote a town of just 11.000 habitantes. By COTIF they have passed players like Andres Palop (which it is of the same people), Rául, little, Cafú,  Iker Casillas,  Andriy Shevchenko ,David Albelda,  Jordi Cruyff, Ivan de la Peña , Salomon Rondon, Ricardo Oliveira Rafael Márquez, among others, They have been some of the names that have been allowed to see this increasingly media championship, increasingly important next to Toulon.

Selections, clubes, anything goes as presenting rising stars within a few years coparán covers half the world. Valencia is the most successful club tournament, (for that geographical proximity), but the USSR with four gimped, Madrid, Barcelona and Brazil have also emerged victorious from this event.
